Influența razelor X asupra unei linii homozigote de porumb

Abstract: Seeds from the homozygous line AG07-2008 in the Lacaune germplasm group were exposed to X radiation doses from 25 to 500 Gray (Gy), with a difference of 25Gy between the variants. The variants were sown on plots with an area of 5 m2, 30 irradiated seeds each. The control was represented by 2 plots, in total 22 plots (110 m2). During the vegetation period the height of the plant, the diameter and length of the corn cob was measured. The results show a strong negative correlation between irradiation dose and plant height and a lower influence of irradiation dose on maize cob parameters.
