Abstract: The research focused on the identification of pathogenic fungi of the genus Fusarium in sesame seeds. To evaluate the spectrum of pathogens in seeds, molecular analysis based on nested-PCR was performed. Twelve samples of DNA extracted from sesame seeds obtained under field conditions were analyzed. The analysis revealed the presence of Fusarium spp. in 11 DNA samples tested. Discrimination analysis of 4 pathogen species was performed: F. culmorum, F. equiseti, F. nivali, F. avenaceum. The species F. culmorum and F. équiseti were identified in six samples. The pathogenic fungi F. nivali and F. avenaceum were not identified in the analyzed samples.
