Abstract: This creative writing inquiry explores the intersection of identity, art, and research writing by framing the “in-between” spaces of drafts as reflective sites of self-expression and liminal existence. Integrating poetry, visual imagery, and reflective writing, it challenges linear academic models, re-imagining writing as a fluid, integrative practice bridging artistic and scholarly modalities. By emphasizing the interplay of drafts with text and visuals, this work repositions academic writing as an embodied, multi-dimensional process that navigates the evolving complexities of self and knowledge through the lens of visual poetry.
