Abstract: For decades, an argument has been made by document examiners trained by government entities that they are superior to those trained in graphology. They contend that graphologists are little better than fortune tellers and should not be given credibility in the courtroom. This article discusses the similarities and differences in the two areas of handwriting analysis and undertakes to show that one practice is not better than the other.
