Abstract: This study focuses on identifying two editions of the Corpus Iuris Civilis that Andrés Bello may have used when drafting the Civil Code. In particular, we aim to determine whether these editions were part of his library's catalog. Likewise, locating these copies has allowed us to identify some unpublished notes, which we hope can eventually be attributed to their author. We would be especially pleased to confirm whether the handwritten definition of "Código" found in one of the Digesta is the work of Andrés Bello.
