Abstract: This research addresses the measures, various projects, and legislative mechanisms related to the integration and rehabilitation of individuals who have been subjected to social, psychological, economic, physical, moral, and other hardships as a result of war. The study examines the profound and long-lasting impact of wars, which create large-scale trauma, on both personal and public life. The primary subjects discussed here encompass a wide group, including civilians, military personnel who have been killed or injured in combat, their family members, refugees, and internally displaced persons. Social protection measures aimed at ensuring their long-term well-being require a systematic policy and are funded by state budgets, as well as the income from the aid funds supported by various organizations, non-governmental organizations, public associations, and individual contributions. Although it may not be possible to completely erase the traces of war, rehabilitation measures tailored to the needs of those suffering from the consequences of war, along with programs aimed at social integration, can help alleviate the current situation. International experience demonstrates that the effectiveness of ensuring the return of war-affected individuals to their routine lives lies in having a dynamic and individualized social protection mechanism. The social policies directed at these individuals are more effective when they establish an interconnected approach, combining rehabilitation, psychological support, legal assistance, and economic protection measures. Studies show that, in addition to providing financial assistance to war-affected individuals, it is essential to implement consistent, human-centered approaches that will increase their participation in society.
