Abstract: In the conditions of the growing influence of globalization processes, which change approaches to international trade, production and distribution of resources in the system of international economic relations, the creation and functioning of value-added chains play an important role in the business processes of international companies. Chains of added value, as a category, have become an important element of the economic strategy of companies and countries, contributing to their competitiveness and economic development. The purpose of the study is to identify the features of the creation and functioning of value-added chains, as well as to determine their impact on the development of international economic relations.
