Thyrsanthemum latibracteatum (Commelinaceae), a new species from Guerrero, Mexico

Abstract: Summary Thyrsanthemum latibracteatum, a new species from the state of Guerrero, Mexico, is here described and illustrated. The proposed taxon is compared with T. floribundum, T. goldianum and T. longifolium, species with which it shares some similarities. A morphological description and images of the new taxon are presented along with a distribution map and a list of the specimens examined of both Thyrsanthemum species (T. goldianum and T. longifolium) known from Guerrero.
