Abstract: This paper introduces a computational fluid dynamics(CFD) software FLACS based on the finite volume method for tunnel explosion tests in literature, and uses the software to establish a three-dimensional numerical calculation model of tunnel explosions. The influence of grid size, boundary condition, and air layer length on numerical calculation results was analyzed. By comparing with experimental data, higher calculation accuracy was obtained with fewer grids, and the conclusion that the numerical simulation method is feasible was drawn, and suggestions for accurately and efficiently simulating tunnel explosions using FLACS were given. Which providing theoretical basis and calculation methods for future research on the propagation law of explosion shock waves in tunnels.
