Abstract: Supplemental Table 1. Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes identifying treatments for hepatocellular carcinoma. Supplemental Table 2. Clinical characteristics of patients with confirmed hepatocellular carcinoma diagnosis in the Veterans Aging Cohort Study (2000-2015), by diagnostic modality. Supplemental Table 3. Factors associated with all-cause mortality following liver tissue sampling among patients with microscopically confirmed hepatocellular carcinoma in the Veterans Aging Cohort Study (2000-2015), after additionally adjusting for year of liver tissue sampling. Supplemental Table 4. Factors associated with all-cause mortality following liver tissue sampling among patients with microscopically confirmed hepatocellular carcinoma in the Veterans Aging Cohort Study (2000-2015), addressing missing tumor differentiation data. In this analysis, missing tumor differentiation data was replaced with a poorly-differentiated result for HIV+ patients, while missing values for uninfected patients were replaced with a well-differentiated result. Supplementary Table 5. Factors associated with all-cause mortality following liver tissue sampling among patients with microscopically confirmed hepatocellular carcinoma in the Veterans Aging Cohort Study (2000-2015), with pathologically-defined advanced hepatic fibrosis. Supplemental Table 6. Factors associated with all-cause mortality following liver tissue sampling among patients with microscopically confirmed hepatocellular carcinoma in the Veterans Aging Cohort Study (2000-2015), with advanced hepatic fibrosis defined by a composite of either a pathologic definition of advanced hepatic fibrosis or FIB-4 >3.25 for those without pathologic data. Supplemental Table 7. Factors associated with all-cause mortality following liver tissue sampling among patients with microscopically confirmed hepatocellular carcinoma in the Veterans Aging Cohort Study (2000-2015), after excluding patients with any hepatocellular carcinoma treatment prior to the date of liver tissue sampling. Supplemental Table 8. Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer stage of hepatocellular carcinoma, by HIV status and diagnostic modality. Supplemental Table 9. Factors associated with all-cause mortality following hepatocellular carcinoma diagnosis in the Veterans Aging Cohort Study (2000-2015), adjusting for diagnostic modality.
