Abstract: The researcher addressed in this section that kinesiology is one of the modern fundamental sciences relied upon in the sports field through scientific studies of athletes' movements. In light of physical and tactical developments and the closeness of players’ levels in sports competitions—especially in the game of volleyball—interest in kinesiology has emerged as an important science for achieving the highest levels of athletic performance. Also, the motor speed of the arms and the pushing force are essential for the skill of the spike. From this, the importance of the research emerges through identifying the relationship between the motor speed of the arms and the accuracy of performing the spiking skill in volleyball. The problem of the research was manifested in the weakness of performing the spiking skill due to the lack of quick movement at the moment of striking the ball. Research Objective The research aimed to identify the motor speed and its relationship with the performance of the spiking skill in volleyball. Research Methodology and Field Procedures: The researcher used the descriptive method to obtain results. The research sample included (30) students from the second year at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences / Al-Israa University. The researcher used statistical methods to process the results using the statistical package (SPSS). Presentation , Discussion, and Analysis of the Result. Through this, the research objectives were achieved. Table (1) indicates the presence of a significant correlation between motor speed and the performance of the spiking skill in volleyball. Conclusions and Recommendations The researcher concluded and recommended, based on the obtained results, that the motor speed of the arms has a positive effect on developing the spiking skill in volleyball.
