Abstract: ResumoThe development of interactive and accessible computational technologiesfor treating patients, elderly individuals, and peoplewith disabilities includes the stimulation of manual movements,especially when related to routine activities and the maintenanceof autonomy. Equipment that algebraically quantifies and providesprecise data on human body kinematics, including hand movements,enables the reconstruction of biomechanical movement and allowsinteraction with virtual environments, made possible through computervision techniques. In this context, a study and applicationof mathematical vector manipulation calculations are proposedto quantify hand movements and highlight their applications inhealthcare.
