Abstract: The article proves that the European integration vector of development covers all spheres of Ukrainian society and is closely related to the reform processes implemented by the government. The purpose of the article is to determine the features of public administration in European countries to improve and increase the efficiency of the domestic public administration system. The article highlights the main directions of reforming public administration in the EU countries (digitalization, simplification of the distribution of responsibilities between levels of government, improvement of policy development and implementation, public employment, administrative simplification, improvement of the efficiency of the judicial system, modernization of public services). The main strategies and government programs for reforming the public administration of EU countries (Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Ireland, Lithuania, Malta, Portugal) are summarized. The key institutions in the field of public administration in the EU countries, which coordinate the processes of public administration reform in the EU countries, have been identified. The key principles of public administration in European countries (openness and transparency, active participation of citizens, accountability, effectiveness, coherence), the main financial and non-financial instruments of public administration regulation (Common Assessment Framework, Open Method of Coordination, Metcalf Coordination Scale, Twinning, Support for Improvement) are highlighted in Governance and Management). It is substantiated that the general tool for public administration implementation in the EU countries is the orientation of the activities of public administration bodies on the results and improvement of the quality of public services. It has been proven that the introduction of European experience of public administration into domestic practice will increase the level of trust in the sphere of public administration and form a sustainable, effective system of public administration.
