Abstract: Foreign trade interaction between countries is significantly influenced by factors that pose a threat to their economic security. Foreign trade interaction between countries is influenced by factors that threaten their economic security. Especially relevant are challenges of a military-political nature and economic sanctions used for political purposes. An example is the crisis of power in Syria, which calls into question its foreign trade prospects. The study of problems and prospects of economic security of Russia and Syria in the conditions of transformation of the Syrian power is relevant and significant.
