Abstract: Russia is the world’s largest producer and supplier of energy resources in the world. Its role in the energy resources market depends not only on its geographical location, economic structure and global trends. This article provides a thorough analysis of the problems of the Russian presence in the global energy resources market, analyzes global processes that have led to signi cant structural changes in determining the balance of interests of the countries participating in energy interaction.
