Abstract: The article is devoted to the analysis of the role of digital technologies in optimizing the management of socio-economic processes, considering them as a tool for increasing the efficiency and adaptability of systems. The study covers the principles, approaches and challenges of digital transformation in management. In the context of global digitalization, the management of socioeconomic processes is gaining critical importance due to the need to adapt to dynamic changes, ensure sustainable development and increase competitiveness. The problems of integrating digital technologies into complex multi-level systems, overcoming digital inequality, ensuring information security and developing universal management models under conditions of uncertainty remain unresolved. The purpose of the article is to determine the principles and approaches to optimizing the management of socio-economic processes through the use of digital technologies. The study is based on systemic, process, adaptive, project and innovative approaches to management analysis. The methods of system analysis, comparative analysis of digital technologies (Big Data, AI, IoT, Blockchain, cloud computing) and literature study on digital transformation and information security were used. The article substantiates the principles of management (systematicity, complexity, adaptability, efficiency, scientificity) and identifies key digital technologies that increase the accuracy, transparency and dynamism of management processes. The challenges of digitalization are identified, in particular, information security risks, digital inequality, ethical issues and technological dependence. Measures are proposed for the creation of a national digital ecosystem, the development of competencies, partnerships and legal regulation. Further research should focus on the development of universal management models adapted to high uncertainty, improving data protection mechanisms and overcoming digital inequality. Particular attention should be paid to ethical standards for the use of AI and the formation of national digital platforms to reduce technological dependence.
