Un ídolo-placa inédito del dolmen de Facho (Figueira da Foz, Portugal) en su contexto local y regional

Year: 2025

Type: article

Abstract: The discovery in 1997 of an unpublished idolshaped plaque on the surface of the Dolmen of Facho (Figueira da Foz) prompted this study. Given the rarity of such artifacts in the megalithic necropolis of Serra da Boa Viagem, its analysis expanded our understanding of the monument – a chamber-and-corridor dolmen oriented NW–SE – and enabled the systematization of these idiothetic objects from the 4th–3rd millennium BCE in their local and regional context. The ar ticle also includes a historiographic and documentary review of the dolmen.
