Abstract: Modern world is constantly changing, and a person's professional activity plays a significant role in it.Scientific progress does not stand still, new discoveries are made every day, technologies and products are developed based on previous experience.It would not be an exaggeration to say that the modern pace of development of civilization and scientific achievements have a huge impact on human thinking and are directly reflected in language as a means of recording and transmitting knowledge.At the same time, each science develops its own conceptual apparatus, for the verbalization of which the so-called specialized vocabulary is used, the central part of which is terminology.At the present stage, its specific weight and significance in language are constantly growing.The purpose of the article is to identify the features of English construction terms translation into Ukrainian.The study of the peculiarities of mentioned terms translation is relevant taking to account the international cooperation under the conditions of martial law.The research material is the most frequent English construction terms with a total of 243 units.As a result of the study, it was found that the majority of construction terms, namely 98 units, which is 40% of the total number, are translated into Ukrainian using explication.Among the analyzed examples of explication, two groups of this method were distinguished: translation by adding words and translation by a whole sentence.Calcification was used in 32 cases (13%), translation by generalization and concretization is represented almost equally by 31 (13%) and 28 (12%) examples, respectively.A somewhat smaller number of terms -28 units (10%) are translated using compression.In this study, two of its subtypes are distinguished: replacing a phrase with a word and removing a word from a phrase.Only 8% (20 terms) are reproduced in Ukrainian by inversion.The following groups are distinguished according to the principle of inference: A+B=B+A, A+B+C=A+C+B, A+B+C=C+A+B, A+B+C=C+B+A.The smallest number of terms -9 units (4%) are translated using antonymic translation.
