Abstract: During the first several months of United States President Donald J. Trump's second term in office, the administration has issued a wide array of executive orders that are likely to have adverse implications for US and global health. The orders include reducing funding and staff at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Institutes of Health, and the United States Agency for International Development (President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief ), as well as withdrawing the nation from the World Health Organization and the Paris Climate Agreement. 1 Countless people and families have already been adversely affected by these decisions, and I stand in solidarity with them.Much like the lessons I learned from studying the work of Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King, Jr., 2,3 those who are being targeted will remember the silence and apathy of their allies, friends, and colleagues, as much or more than they recall the sowers of misinformation, disinformation, fear, silence, and efforts to delegitimize and discredit trustworthy individuals and institutions. STANDING IN SOLIDARITY As the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Men' s Social and Community Health (IJMSCH), in my EditorialIntroduction, I discussed the pillars of the journal, which include its focus on the full range of drivers of men's health and men's health inequities worldwide.4 I, along with the journal, recognize that social, structural, commercial, and political drivers of health are primarily responsible for poor health outcomes among men and in the broader population globally, [5][6][7] and recent calls to reconsider fundamental definitions of the field have prompted the field to define men in "men's health"to include those who are male, those assigned male at birth, and those who define themselves as men.
