β-Blockers in Patients With Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD)—Easing Angina, But Not Anxiety
Year: 2025
Type: article
Study design: Observational Study
Abstract: β-Blockers are commonly used in patients with spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD) to prevent further trauma to the arterial wall; they have been associated with reduced recurrence. These patients report persistent angina and anxiety post-SCAD, which have been treated with β-blockers in other cardiac populations. The impact of their use has not been evaluated in the SCAD population. In this study we examined the association of β-blocker use with angina symptoms and anxiety in SCAD survivors.
