Abstract: This study developed and validated a tool to sensorially evaluate the "negative image psychological scale," aiming to use it in disaster education and learning about the natural environment. Based on insights from interviews with experts and findings from pediatric nursing practices, a spherical analog tool was prototyped to facilitate the visual and sensory interpretation of negative images. Experiments conducted with university students demonstrated that this tool outperformed traditional evaluation methods (VAS method) in terms of ease of visual and sensory expression. However, challenges such as difficulties in fine-tuning visual representations have been highlighted, necessitating further improvements and testing in diverse populations. This study suggests the potential application of the tool in disaster education while also exploring its expansion into medical and psychological fields.
