Abstract: This manuscript investigates the impact of music education aesthetics on college students' mental health, using a knowledge and data-driven approach to address limitations in traditional research, limited sample sizes, and lack of empirical support. The study collects data through both online and offline questionnaires, employing the Likert five-point scale to assess students' mental health. A mental health scale is designed to measure students' mental well-being, and machine learning models, such as support vector machines and random forest algorithms, are applied to analyze the data. The results reveal that participation in music education aesthetics leads to a significant reduction in anxiety levels, with scores dropping from 70 to 55, highlighting the positive impact of music education on mental health. This study fills a critical gap in existing research by providing empirical evidence for the design of college music education curricula and mental health interventions.
