Integration of Quadratic Voting Methods in Decentralized Blockchain Systems

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This article explores the integration of quadratic voting methods into decentralized blockchain systems to enhance the security and reliability of cryptocurrency transactions. Quadratic voting is an innovative voting method that provides a more balanced solution for collective decision-making by preventing the dominance of large stakeholders and ensuring a more democratic process. The main objective of the research is to improve decision-making processes in blockchain systems through the application of quadratic voting, which increases the system's transparency, fairness, and security. As part of this work, a web-based voting system was developed using Python, Solidity, Flask, and other tools, incorporating the principles of quadratic voting. The application allows users to submit projects for competition, and sponsors can vote on these projects by allocating their votes in proportion to the significance of the projects. The winning projects are eligible for funding. Special attention was given to the technical aspects of developing smart contracts in Solidity, which ensure the immutability and automation of the voting process on the blockchain. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the adaptation and evaluation of the effectiveness of quadratic voting within the context of decentralization and cryptocurrency transactions. The conducted tests and experiments demonstrate that the proposed approach significantly enhances the security and reliability of operations on the blockchain by reducing the risk of vote manipulation and ensuring transaction transparency. The results confirm the practical significance of using quadratic voting in decentralized systems for collective decision-making and resource allocation management. Keywords: cryptocurrency, blockchain, quadratic voting, web application, simulator, Python, Solidity.
