Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The article is devoted to the analysis of the integration of technical rehabilitation equipment (TRE) into the inclusive educational environment of higher education institutions as a key socio-pedagogical condition of supporting students with special needs. The focus of the study is on the role of TKD as a tool for ensuring equal access to the educational process for people with disabilities. The types of TKD, their functional purpose and conditions for effective implementation in the university educational environment have been systematized. It is substantiated that it is the presence of appropriate technical support that allows eliminating physical, sensory, information and communication barriers that prevent students with disabilities from fully realizing their educational potential. The article analyzes the current regulatory framework for inclusion in higher education, the practice of supporting services for students with special needs, as well as mechanisms for personalizing the educational process taking into account the needs of a particular applicant. Attention is drawn to the importance of adapting the architectural space, implementing software and hardware solutions for access to information, and training teachers to work in inclusion. Domestic and international experience is summarized, in particular cases of the University of Ukraine, which demonstrate a comprehensive approach to creating an inclusive educational environment. The conclusions state that TKD should be considered not as assistive devices, but as a strategic component of universal design in education, which increases the quality and innovation of the educational process as a whole. The presented results may be useful for educators, scientists, managers, social workers and all those working in the field of ensuring the rights of persons with disabilities to education.
