Abstract: In recent years, the phenomenon of male celebrities wearing backless clothes has become increasingly common in the visual cultural landscape of the entertainment world, sparking public debate. It seems that backless clothes have gradually broken the boundaries of traditional gender narratives, and become a symbolic carrier with strong communication effects.However, male celebrities simply exposing their upper bodies to the public has long been commonplace, similarly, women wearing male temperament clothes is a normal thing. Why is it that male celebrities wearing backless clothes with femininity have become the hook idea to rise to fame? Therefore, analysing the communication logic and social meaning behind it is particularly important for understanding the somaesthetics of fashion and the dissemination of popular culture.From an interdisciplinary perspective, this article reveals the cultural mechanism and social meaning behind the communication of male celebrity backless clothes, providing insights into issues such as changes in public psychology, consumer culture and the construction of male identity.
