Abstract: Information visualisation has become an essential tool for analysing and understanding complex phenomena in social, economic, and scientific domains. This work reviews the most notable proposals from 2024 in the field, critically examining their methodological, conceptual, and social relevance. Using the SALSA framework, the study rigorously evaluates selected pieces, considering their cultural, aesthetic, and societal impact. The analysis is structured around two main axes. The first focuses on visualisations that stand out due to the significance and relevance of the data they represent. This group includes works that have made a notable impact in areas such as gender ideological differences, energy sources and their connection to climate change, university rankings and quality, and the realm of Digital Humanities. The second axis explores proposals introducing significant conceptual innovations, challenging traditional disciplinary practices, and offering new perspectives on visual representation. This includes visualisations related to the temporal coding of events, reasoning support, and information and media literacy.
