Abstract: Depression negatively affects memory ability in older adults. This article addresses the correlation between depression and memory in the elderly, evaluated by the Beck Test and the Mini-Mental Test. Methodology: non-experimental, exploratory, observational research. Contribution: In a sample of 19 participants, the results show that 79% of the participants have a level of depression, which 30% of the study population requires intervention by a psychologist and 45% by a psychiatrist. Depression affects the memory status of older adults, with a t=1.73 to 95% reliability
