Abstract: The study involved pre-soaking modified recycled coarse aggregate with various concentrations of nano-silica (SiO2) solution (0%, 1.0%, 2.0%), and incorporating different dosages of steel fibers (0%, 1.0%, 2.0%) and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) fibers (0%, 0.1%, 0.2%) into the recycled aggregate concrete. Subsequently, the impact resistance of the modified recycled aggregate concrete specimens at different strain rates was determined through testing using the split Hopkinson pressure bar(SHPB).The damage patterns of different specimens were analyzed and the dynamic stress-strain curves were obtained to show the evolution of dynamic impact strength and dynamic growth factor. The results revealed a correlation between increased impact velocity and specimen damage, while higher concentrations of nano-SiO2 solution and the addition of fibers improved specimen integrity. The peak load of the dynamic stress-strain curve of the specimen was significantly advanced after the modification of nano-SiO2, and the peak stress of the specimen was significantly increased by the incorporation of fibers. Furthermore, dynamic compressive strength and dynamic growth factor progressively rose with the increase in strain rate, indicating that the inclusion of nano-SiO2 and steel fibers contributed to enhancing the impact performance of the specimen.
