Abstract: Background: Two of the prominent transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) manufacturers utilize different technologies in their TMS devices. NeuroStar employs figure-8 coil technology with a proprietary iron core and contact sensing for enhanced focal magnetic field delivery. In contrast, BrainsWay uses a proprietary H-coil design to generate a broader magnetic field. Despite theoretical advantages of each, few comparative studies have been conducted.
