Abstract: Serverless architecture has emerged as a transformative solution for e-commerce infrastructure, enabling businesses of all sizes to achieve enterprise-grade performance without corresponding overhead costs. This article explores how serverless computing addresses the core challenges facing e-commerce platforms: unpredictable traffic patterns, global customer bases, cart abandonment sensitivity, and rapid development needs. Through an examination of key serverless components—including Function-as-a-Service (FaaS), API Gateways, Content Delivery Networks, and serverless databases—the article demonstrates how these technologies create a foundation for elastic e-commerce that scales automatically with demand. Real-world implementation patterns reveal how event-driven architectures, personalization engines, and global search functionality can be optimized through serverless approaches. It further outlines practical implementation strategies, including segmented deployment paths, global distribution techniques, state management solutions, and observability practices. Throughout, the article emphasizes how serverless architecture democratizes access to resilient infrastructure, allowing retailers to focus on customer experience rather than technical complexity, ultimately creating a more level playing field in the highly competitive e-commerce landscape
