Abstract: Leucism is the partial absence of pigmentation observed in some animals, resulting in reduced colouration while retaining normal eye colour. We report the first sighting of a leucistic Hoary-bellied Himalayan squirrel Callosciurus pygerythrus (I. Geoffroy Saint Hilaire, 1832) from Kolasib, Mizoram, Northeast India.
