Abstract: This article examines the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI in modernizing data and AI governance frameworks within organizations. As enterprises face mounting challenges in managing expanding data ecosystems, these technologies offer innovative solutions for enhancing governance efficiency and effectiveness. The article explores four key areas: current governance challenges, natural language interfaces, AI-powered automation, and business-centric decision support systems. Through a comprehensive analysis of recent research, this article demonstrates how AI-driven solutions are revolutionizing traditional governance approaches by improving data quality, reducing operational costs, enhancing compliance monitoring, and democratizing access to governance tools.
