Abstract: Throughout the history of Christianity it was never easy to find the balance between temporal power and spiritual power. What are the limits of both powers? From the begging to the Middle Ages there is a doctrinal development aimed at clarifying the scope of Rapal power. Thomas Aquinas is no stranger to the argument and contributes his doctrinal balance to this topic as well.
