Abstract: This study aims to examine the effect of inquiry-based Two Stay Two Stray strategy on understanding the concept of electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solutions. The method used is a quasi-experiment with a nonequivalent control group design. The sample consisted of 52 grade X MIPA students, divided into experimental and control classes. The experimental class used the inquiry-based TSTS strategy, while the control class used the conventional method. The instrument in the form of a concept understanding test was given before and after treatment. Data analysis was carried out using an independent t-test. The results showed a significant difference between the two groups. The inquiry-based TSTS strategy is effective in improving understanding of chemical concepts and is worthy of being applied as an innovative alternative in science learning.
