Abstract: This study examines the role and procedure of resolving business disputes through District Courts in Indonesia. As a sector that supports the country's economy, business disputes in Indonesia often occur even though there is a contract that regulates the relationship between the relevant parties. The District Court as a law enforcement agency has the authority to resolve business disputes, although there are restrictions if the dispute resolution has been agreed upon through non-litigation channels such as arbitration. This study uses a normative legal research method, by analyzing applicable legal regulations, and conducting a case study at the Tarutung District Court, North Sumatra. Although the District Court plays an important role in the resolution of business disputes, there is no specific procedure for business disputes compared to other civil disputes in the litigation pathway.
