Classification of modern centers for social-psychological rehabilitation of military servants

Abstract: The article considers the issues of classifying a new type of architectural objects - centers for social and psychological rehabilitation of military personnel. The center for social and psychological rehabilitation of military personnel is a multifunctional facility in which military personnel and veterans can receive not only a full range of measures to restore mental health, but also undergo preparation for returning to the family and integration into society. It should be convenient in terms of location and level of comfort, functional and, most importantly, meet the needs of different groups of military personnel and veterans in the necessary types of rehabilitation for a certain period. Therefore, the authors include the following main criteria for classifying centers for social and psychological rehabilitation of military personnel: target category of users, location (service range), type of territorial resources for construction, type of architectural formation, functional structure, compositional structure, planning structure, capacity (estimated number of rehabilitators), duration of service (stay), form of ownership. The criteria for classifying centers for the socio-psychological rehabilitation of military personnel are closely related to each other. The target category of users is the basic criterion that determines the functional structure, range of services, duration of rehabilitation, and capacity of the rehabilitation center. The location of the rehabilitation center is also related to the target category, functional structure, capacity, and duration of stay. The type of territorial resources for construction and the type of architectural formation of the rehabilitation center are directly related and depend on specific urban planning conditions. The functional, planning, and compositional structure depend, first of all, on the target category, capacity, and duration of rehabilitation. Thus, all classification criteria are related to each other, determine other criteria, or depend on them. The main typological feature of the center for the socio-psychological rehabilitation of military personnel as an architectural object is low storeys.
