Optimization Method of Building Structure Design Based on Genetic Algorithm

Abstract: With the continuous development of the construction industry, higher requirements have been put forward for optimizing the design of building structures. Genetic algorithm, as a powerful global optimization algorithm, has broad application prospects in the field of building structure design optimization. This article aims to construct an optimization model for building structure design based on genetic algorithm. By analyzing the characteristics of building structure design optimization problems, design variables are reasonably determined, fitness functions are established, and key operations such as selection, crossover, and mutation in genetic algorithm are elaborated in detail. An actual building structure is taken as an example for verification. The research results indicate that the constructed genetic algorithm model can effectively optimize building structural design, improve the safety and economy of the structure.
