Abstract: Pulmonary sclerosing pneumocytomas (PSPs) are extremely rare lung neoplasms comprising a small minority of all lung tumors. They are most commonly asymptomatic at presentation, with lung nodules being found incidentally. If symptomatic, most patients present with hemoptysis, cough, or shortness of breath.1, 2 They most commonly appear as solitary, homogenous, well-circumscribed lung nodules on imaging, although cases of multiple PSPs have been reported.3, 4 As they are rare and definitive diagnosis is challenging by biopsy and often unavailable prior to intervention, surgical resection of the lung nodule is the most common treatment, with microscopic examination showing one or more classic growth patterns of PSP.
