Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: After 203 years of journalism, transformations, changes and adaptations in various scenarios in globalization, the British daily newspaper The Guardian launched a product specially dedicated to the discussion of an artist. The Swift Notes newsletter, published from February 22 to August 21, 2024, offered weekly, free and specialized journalistic coverage of Taylor Swift, considered the 2nd biggest pop star of the 21st century, according to the renowned Billboard magazine. The objective of this article is to present a case study of this newsletter in light of the concepts of mediamorphosis (Fidler, 1998) and hybridization of languages. The methodology includes bibliographic references and Content Analysis, in which the hybridization of languages and strategies is verified.
