Abstract: This experience report presents the results of the Retirement Preparation Program conducted with healthcare professionals at a Public Hospital in Pará, Brazil. The program aimed to prepare participants for retirement by highlighting the importance of planning and offering guidance in different areas of life, organized into specific modules. It created a reflective and supportive space that helped participants rethink the meaning of retirement and prepare for a healthier, more conscious transition, viewing it as a new life stage. The program also encouraged autonomy, emotional well-being, and social engagement. Participants reported feeling more confident and informed about the changes involved, which facilitated a more positive outlook on the future. This experience confirms that Retirement Preparation Programs can contribute to a smoother retirement process by helping professionals disengage from formal work with greater awareness and preparation. Overall, the program proved to be a valuable tool in promoting well-being and quality of life during the retirement transition.
