Evaluation of relaxation dynamics from excited states of Ho 3+ ions in sol–gel nano-glass-ceramic materials

Abstract: In the paper, it is proven that the luminescence of Ho 3+ is well-conditioned by the relaxation dynamics from multiple excited states depending on their preferable location inside optical materials (amorphous silicate host or LaF3 nanocrystals).
