Análisis del dinamismo microempresarial en el suroccidente colombiano en los años 2022-2023
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The article analyses the behaviour of micro-businesses in south-western Colombia and the characteristics of their owners during 2022-2023. The objective is to understand the management model adopted by these productive units and how the level of academic training influences their business strengthening. The guiding question was: How does the level of academic training of the owners influence the management model and the entrepreneurial strengthening of micro-businesses in southern Colombia during the period 2022-2023? The study, with a quantitative and correlational approach, analysed 418 micro-businesses. The results show that most of them have a basic management model, with limited planning and little use of technological tools. Most of the owners have a low level of education and a high level of economic dependence on the business. This situation limits the development of effective strategies and reduces their competitiveness. In comparison with national analyses, micro-businesses in the Southwest show a greater lag in training and management. It is concluded that it is necessary to strengthen their capacities through continuous training, access to technologies and institutional support, in order to consolidate more sustainable management models that are articulated with local entrepreneurship ecosystems.
