Abstract: Colchicine is a commonly used medication that treats gout, familial Mediterranean fever, and pericarditis. Colchicine overdose is rarely seen; however, toxicity from colchicine overdose can have life-threatening consequences, precipitating multiorgan failure and death. Colchicine toxicity has a unique presentation that can result in severe abdominal pain, rhabdomyolysis, and leukopenia. Early identification of colchicine toxicity is necessary to help guide management, as no specific antidote exists. We present the case of a 31-year-old female who presented with severe abdominal pain and the sequelae of colchicine overdose, along with a discussion regarding her clinical course and management.
