Abstract: This article aims to analyze and understand the culture and educational practices of the Nossa Senhora do Patrocínio Municipal High School during the period 1939-1968, with the aim of contributing to the history of the school and the understanding of its educational process in this historical period that marks its year of origin and ends in the year in which the founder was in charge as school director. Its beginning was due to Father Paul's concern about the lack of a high school institution that provided education to poor male youth in the city of Dom Pedrito. In methodological terms, we used bibliographic and documentary analysis based on institutional documents found in the school archives of the current school.
