Abstract: The relevance of the article is determined by the controversial solution to the problems of «expressive syntax» and clarifi cation of the arsenal of syntactic tools, which are most actively used by the Bukovyna artist, and the defi nition of their role in the extremely bright, unique speech of Maria Mathios.The aim of the study. The article is devoted to clarifying the functional load of syntactic expressions as elements of the figurative and expressive system of artistic speech in the idiostyle of the outstanding modern Ukrainian writer Maria Matios. The concept of individual style is quite broad and requires analysis primarily of its components. The individual specifi city of the artist consists in a kind of interpretation of objective reality and the choice of such linguistic means that in the work of art reproduce the authors idea, his intentions. The following research methods are used in the article: descriptive- analytical, method of component analysis, inductive- deductive, synchronous. The scientifi c novelty of the study consists in identifying the peculiarities of the functioning of syntactic expressomes in the speech style of Maria Mathios and determining the role of the expressive factor in the creation of her idiostyle. Linguistic expression as a linguistic category has various means of expression (lexical, phraseological, stylistic, syntactic, etc.), it is also related to psycholinguistics, philosophy, aesthetics, literary studies and other fi elds. The intellectual and emotional plans of language are interconnected, they are closely intertwined components of each statement, the subject of which creates reality himself, chooses the most optimal means of language to realize the idea. Conclusions. The works of art of the Ukrainian writer Maria Matios are distinguished by their imagery and expressiveness. The expressiveness of the syntax is associated with structures that have a tinge of conversational, casual style in their semantics, as well as with the actualization of sentence members, which is caused by changing the order of sentence components, their omission, interrupted speech or slurred speech, the use of sentence words, etc.
