Global Climate Change and Political Policy: How International Relations and Diplomacy Address Environmental Issues
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The study looks at whether international agreements, diplomatic efforts and aid from other countries have affected the shape of Pakistan’s climate policies. The demographic breakdown of the research participants reveals participants mostly from environmental sciences, international relations and political science, with a range of experience. Based on the statistics, not many people think that Pakistan will change its climate policies due to international deals, suggesting a low level of trust in global commitments. Regression analysis points out that there is a weak and insignificant connection between climate change negotiations and conflicts in international relations or diplomacy. Still, there is a positive relationship shown in correlation analysis between successful climate policy and enhanced diplomacy. Results show that tougher regulations, more funding and teamwork are needed to improve how Pakistan handles climate change. The report ends by suggesting tougher policy implementation, more diplomatic moves and stronger consideration of sustainability in policies. More research should aim to fill gaps in policy, help with new technologies and boost public understanding, so the country can better fight climate change.
