Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: This article explores the areas of psychological support for children in wartime conditions, aimed at reducing psychological trauma. The authors analyze the relevance of psychologist’s work with children affected by military events and identify key approaches to psychological assistance. The focus is on the followingmethods: art therapy with emotional states, which facilitates the processing of traumatic experiences and the development of adaptive strategies; bodyoriented practices that restore the sense of body and alleviate physical and psychological tension; play therapy, which helps children safely express anxiety and fears while modeling new interaction strategies; and sand therapy as a means of grounding, releasing internal tension and restoring a sense of security. Special emphasis is placed on psychoeducational sessions with parents, which enable adults to better understand the psychological condition of children and their needs in crisis situations. The study concludes that a comprehensive approach incorporating these methods contributes to harmonizing children’s emotional states, enhancing their resources, and mitigating the effects of psychological trauma.
