Abstract: This study examines how Donald Trump’s populist and demagogic rhetoric in 18 campaign speeches from 2015–2016 influenced voter behavior. By framing issues as losses and leveraging emotional appeals, Trump activated loss aversion, encouraging risk-seeking support for radical measures. The analysis highlights a binary "us versus them" narrative, blending fear with hope, and underscores populism’s impact on electoral outcomes.
