Abstract: This study aims to investigate the mechanisms influencing the employment psychology of undergraduate students. A questionnaire survey was conducted among 1,012 undergraduate students in Hunan Province, and statistical analyses were performed using SPSS. The results revealed that career development interventions—such as student leadership experience, off-campus internship experience, and career guidance courses and activities—significantly reduce employment psychological issues among undergraduate students. Family socioeconomic status (SES) positively predicts perceived employment stress. Additionally, employment preparation exhibits a partial suppressive mediation effect between SES and employment stress. This study uncovers the complex mechanisms underlying employment psychology in undergraduate students, providing empirical evidence for colleges to implement targeted career guidance programs.
