Abstract: Contemporary academic research requires scholars across all scientific disciplines to actively incorporate international perspectives and methodologies into their work. The purpose of this article is to describe the way how to read and interpret scientific texts in English. The objective hermeneutics method and content analysis method were applied to develop a strategy of conscious reading scientific text in English. The article focuses on the genre features of the scientific text in general and the language representation of scientific knowledge in English. The article proposes a description of the reader-researcher model, the formation of which contributes to effective understanding of the text.
